The Mullet: A Door to Hollywood Fame

(The Brad Pitt Story.)

"I attribute my success as an actor to my hair," said Brad Pitt in a recent interview with the Mullet Madness staff. Brad is referring to his breakthrough role in Thelma and Louise as the thief J.D. "I believe that because of the mullet, director Ridley Scott was able to visualize me as the thief." Mr. Pitt went on to explain that he felt his coiffure lent an air of disrespectability and toughness to his character.

"Again, for Legends [of the Fall], even though I had grown the mullet out by then, I think it was because of my former mulletude that I was able to nab the role as a wife-stealing brother," explained Brad.

When asked if we would see the return of the neck cape, Brad replied, "Right now I've got a lot of work. But if in the future times are slow and I'm just not getting the parts, yeah, I'll definitely go back to what works. If a mullet's what it takes to get the role, I'll rock the mullet."
