Simpon's SFLB

The Mullet Madness News Team recently secured never before seen illustrations from Fox Network's hit animated series The Simpsons, the most notable of which is a mullet bearing Homer. When questioned about the Mulletized Homer, Simpsons Executive Producer James Brooks cited recent viewer polls claiming, "The Simpsons audience has matured. The show has progressed beyond a children's cartoon. Recent statistics show an ever increasing percentage of middle-aged women viewing the program." Brooks went on to explain, "After analyzing the data and working with several focus groups we determined that this new audience was interested in a more romantic, even sexy, Homer." After countless hours of creative meetings and brainstorming sessions, Simpsons animators felt that merely providing the Homer Simpson with a mullet would help appeal to a demographic stereotyped for its interest in romance novels and the famous Fabio cover model. "After spending several months reading volumes of Harlequin Romance novels our creative team decided that Homer's character differed very little from the fantasy men of these books. His looks, however, needed some revision. A few pen strokes and voila, fantasy Homer," stated Simpsons creator Matt Groening.

Groening also warned audiences not to get their hopes up anticipating fantasy Homer's appearance in upcoming Simpsons episodes. "Unfortunately ladies, fantasy Homer is just that, a dream."
