If you live in the United States and wear a mullet—the haircut, not the fish—you might be laughed at. Consider yourself lucky. If you live in Iran, you could be arrested. The country’s Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has recently outlawed the mullet and other “decadent Western [hair] cuts,” arguing that they undermine traditional Islamic values.
No that this is big news, but still funny….especially with the new format of google images

Shades of Stone Ash, Silver, and Lilac integrated with icy blondes are taking center stage this spring along with innovative hair accessories that are making it possible for women to change their hair color in the blink of an eye. Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 5, 2010 — Spring is an exciting time of rejuvenation and reinvention. This is particularly true when talking about hair color. “Ditching the drab and donning new vibrancy should be one’s primary objective when sprucing up their look this season,” says American Board Certified Hair Colorist, Jason Tichenor, of Paragon Salon in Atlanta, Ga. The fun and fashion forward trends for 2010 will allow anyone to do just that. From haute metallic blondes to raging reds, hair color is anything but subtle this year. Dramatic reds, deep brunettes with plum and cinnamon accents as well as a play on pastels against black will all take center stage while platinum blonde will take a back seat. Blondes in general are being redefined. Strawberry and copper shades will be big in the warm realm, but something new and unexpected has become fashionable for the cool blondes. Varying shades of stone, ash and even silver are some of 2010’s bolder statements and are very prevalent on the runways all over the world already. Lilac, pale pink and light blue could also be used to accent the daring whether paring them with an icy blonde or midnight black base. Interpretation of these bold trends can be translated in more conservative ways for everyday wear, of course. Choosing a more natural blend of copper and Irish gold would be the perfect choice for the professional who wants to be on trend but doesn’t work in say the entertainment industry. Simply overlaying highlights with a glaze of shiny silver is another way to stay in style without sporting an art piece on your head. “There are many looks showcased in fashion every season that appear to be unwearable to the everyday person. It is one of the finer skills of the hair colorist to make even the most creative look accessible to the client,” says Tichenor adding that there are options for those who enjoy taking their look to the extreme, even if simply on a temporary basis. The inventive and industry leading professionals at Paragon your Salon are always coming up with new ways for their clients to stay ahead of the trend curve. Color trends are no exception. That is where ‘Snazzy Lites,’ the brainchild of master stylist/owner of Gorgeous Strandz Inc, Brenda Waters, comes into play. “As the name indicates, these temporary, clip-in natural hair extensions come in any color imaginable and can be placed in and taken out of the hair in seconds”, says Waters. Because Snazzy Lites are made with 100% natural human hair, they can be washed, curled and styled just like ones own. Making them the must have accessory in a year where color rules. “This spring you will start to see more women wearing a splash of color from caramel, fuchsia, purple and even turquoise” says Waters. The possibilities for making a statement with hair color are endless in 2010 and the image gurus at Paragon your Salon are leading the way for expression.
